Seeing as I am getting so much snow, and shoveling a lot of it, I decided to share an herbal cream to heat up and ease the ouchy back.
2 tbs. Emulsifying Wax
2 tbs. Shea Butter
2 tbs. Coconut (Unrefined with melt point at 76 degrees)
1/2 tsp. Clove Bud Essential Oil
All of these ingrediants are available at Mountain Rose Herbs.
3 oz. Pure Water - warm
Optional As A Preservative: 2 tbs. Vodka
Melt emulsifying wax, shea butter and coconut oil in a small sauce pan over VERY low heat. Stir to blend. Remove from heat and add water slowly, stirring constantly. When the mixture stops steaming and JUST begins to thicken add the clove bud essential oil (and vodka if you're using it). Keep stirring until it begins to thicken to a cream consistency - it thickens as it cools. Makes about 7 oz. of cream.
Blessings,
